In the Holocaust Jewish men and women were sent submersion camps (death camps) as their punishment for being Jewish which is horrific. There were survivors of these camps, but even the survivors could be mistaken as the dead. These survivors needed help because they had a lack of food.

The SS officers deprived the Jews of food so frequently they barely had any strength or energy when exiting these camps. custody and women clad in rags, and barely able to move from starving and typhus lay in their straw bunks in all state of filth and degradation.
