How can you write an essay about the history of Rock and not mention The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Thin Lizzy or The Pixies (ok,the Pixies spate is a bit biased)...and calling the Beatles and the Stones dinosaurs, thats just ridiculas.
Plus if you where face for examples of modern rock bands, you dont need to look hard. How about the pureness Stripes, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand or basically anyone other than Limp Bizkit and Britney.
